The Lamont Cranston Blues Band sound like most party bands -- they seem to write background music for get-togethers at the House of Blues. Upon listening to this Blues Rock outfit, you'll probably get an overwhelming sense of deja-vu, remind yourself that you once saw The Commitments, and remember a skilled guitar player with a bleached pony tail who once entertained you for second bits.

Lamont was an American stoner rock trio founded in in Allston, Massachusetts.. Critics have described their sound as raw s AC/DC style rock and roll mixed with Iggy Pop vocals and bluesy punk. [citation needed] They have opened for artists including Mojo Nixon, Reverend Horton Heat, and Drive-By Truckers as well as appearing at the Emissions from the Monolith festivals.
