The first Dakoda Motor Co. album I heard was Welcome Race Fans, which I loved, but Into the Son is even better. This is just some upbeat, feel-good music with pleasant-sounding vocals (well, Davia's anyways--sorry, Peter!). The guitar solos are amazing as well. There's very little Christian pop music I'd recommend to non-Christians.5/5(2).

Their first album Into the Son was recorded at the home studio of Earl Mankey of Sparks, and was produced by Louis Guiterez (Mary's Danish), and Michael Gurley of Dadain It was picked up by gospel label Myhrr, and re-released.

Into the Son would be one of those CDs that rarely left my truck's CD player. The lyrics became ingrained in my memory because it was in constant rotation. Grey Clouds, Ocean Seems, Sondancer and Freedom are the standout tracks for me, but in all honestly there isn't a bad track on the album. Wasteland is an acoustic number sung by Peter King.
