Apr 16,  · Way back in the day,I saw the "Blow by Blow" tour as well as the "Wired" tour in New Orleans at the Warehouse. Beck was using (2) two Marshall watt Superleads w/ (2) two Fender Showman bottoms loaded with JBL 15's. I saw him later on at City Park in New Orleans playing the Marshalls thru Univox bottoms.

Jun 29,  · The BBB album was to me a Jazz/Funk fusion album with other influences, the "Wired" album feels more like a Jazz/Rock fusion album imo. I would believe that the was a remix for 1/2 the album. I have a stone mint WLP copy which did not exactly sound as good as I wanted it to.

Following the success of his album Blow By Blow, in May , Jeff Beck returned to the studio and recorded Wired, which paired ex-Mahavishnu Orchestra drummer and composer Narada Michael Walden, and keyboardist Jan Hammer. The album employed a jazz-rock fusion style, which sounded similar to the former work of his two collaborators.

Wired received mostly positive reviews when it was released. In Rolling Stone, the reviewer cited it as being full of "fire and imagination". However, Robert Christgau faulted it as technically proficient but soulless, calling it "mindless trickery". Engineer Peter Henderson later said of the album, "I listened to that a few years later and it sounded like it had been recorded direct to cassette.
